BEFORE DECIDING TO ENTER, READ THIS FIRST

DMOMA is not a commercial gallery or online marketing vehicle. Artists submitting work for "Rejected: Salon des NEO Refusés" should not expect commercial gain. Prices for work will not be posted. There is no cost to entry or exhibition, and no jury fees.

DEADLINE EXTENDED:

Deadline for submission has been extended to June 30, 2005. Subject to submission guidelines, artists can continue to submit rejected artwork through September 4, 2005, and DMOMA will make every reasonable effort to add the artwork to the existing galleries. The "Salon des NEO Refusés" will be an archived exhibition of record, and as such, it is important to show as much of the work of the NEO artists as feasibly possible.

ITEMS FOR SUBMISSION:

1. Images of the specific work rejected by "The NEO Show." (Do not submit other work)
2. Title, date, dimensions and media/technique for the work.
3. Proof of submission and/or rejection, such as: 1) copy of "The NEO Show" rejection letter; 2) completed copy of the entry form; 3) CMA receipt of entry letter; 4) copy of the cancelled check (or copy of bank statement copy) that accompanied the entry; or 5) dated envelope that returned the slide. Questions pertaining to other forms of verification are welcomed. Write to: curator@dmoma.org
4. The following certification: "I hereby certify that I am the creator of all images submitted herewith; that I have retained copyright ownership of all images submitted; that all persons depicted in all images have granted permission in writing for use of their image; and that none of the images are in violation of the copyright ownership rights of any third party."
5 . Optional: A short statement (not more than 3 sentences) describing each work; or the concept or thought behind the work.
6 . Optional: A short biography or curriculum vitae not exceeding one page.
7 . Your name, address, e-mail address and telephone.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. NEO Rejection Letter will not be put online without the artist's written request or authorization.
2. Prices, or invitations to contact artist or gallery pertaining to the sale of work, will not be put online.
3. Address, e-mail address and/or telephone will not be put online without the artist's written request or authorization.
4. All other materials submitted, including statement and bio, are subject to inclusion.

PHYSICAL (ANALOG) SUBMISSIONS:

1. Image of the "rejected" work, as follows:

a. .jpeg, .pic or .tiff on a CD or DVD (CD preferred);

b. 35 mm Slide of the "rejected" work, plus details if desired (details not required). Slides must be standard film in paper or plastic. No glass slides, photographs, or images on paper.

2. Text may be written, but must also be submitted in the body of an e-mail (see e-mail address below), as an e-mail attachment, or as a text file (eg. .cwk or .doc) on a CD or DVD.

3. A self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage (SASE) for return of all physical submission materials. Materials without SASE will not be returned.

INTERNET (DIGITAL) SUBMISSIONS:

Text can be submitted in the body of an e-mail, or as a .doc file, or .pdf file attached to an e-mail. Images can be submitted as .jpegs, .pics or tiffs. Audio and movie files should not exceed 6 MB. We can also download or grab files and images from web pages. Artist must provide URL and clear identification of item. We do not do Flash.
