Einzelheiten zeigen Gemeinsame Notiz: - Based on the absence of evidence, Sarah Ann Baughman, Theobald's oldest daughter, apparently did not move to Ohio (although we really don't know). All of the rest of her family either died in Pennsylvania or moved to Ohio. In fact, unless she married when she was 16 (not unheard of at the time), she would have moved with her family, who seemed to have moved as a group about 1835.

Many families claim her without much evidence, surely to gain the lineage of Theobald and his ancestors. Her example shows the difficulty of establishing ancestry in the absence of corroborating and interlinking evidence. She may have even died in childhood, leaving no descendants of her own. This, in fact, may be the most reasonable hypothesis.
