Show Details Shared Note: - After John Fry's death, his widow, Ann Fry, remained in Ohio until at least 1850, as evidenced by the 1850 Census. She moved west to Indiana sometime between 1850 and 1857 with her daughter Sarah Ann Fry and son James Porter Fry. Sarah Ann married Joshua J. Collins June 3, 1857 in Starke County, Indiana. In the 1860 census, Ann is listed in the household of Joshua J. Collins.

James P‏(orter)‏ Fry is listed on the same page of the 1860 Census, and is married to Mahala Collins, Joshua J. Collin's younger sister. James P. Fry was among the first County Commissioners of Starke County. He later moved to Marshall Township, Clark County Illinois. He, Mahala and Sarah Ann Fry ‏(born in 1860)‏ are said to have died in the Chicago Smallpox Epidemic in the 1882.

Oliver Perry Fry remained in Ohio, living in Randolph Township, Portage County in 1850, and moving to Independence Township, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in 1860. He later moved to Dolson Township, Clark County, Illinois.

John M. Fry moved to Deerfield Township, Portage County, and was first a teacher, then a physician. Two sons, Royce Day Fry and John Morris Fry were also physicians in Cleveland, Ohio.

More research will be conducted. I also need to upload a wealth of new information of the John Fry family.
